
Women's Golf Finishes 16th at Bryan National

Greensboro, N.C. - University of Louisville women's golf team finished 16th in the prestigious Bryan National Collegiate. The Cardinals struggled through the windy and brutally cold conditions in the final round to shot a 324. Louisville finished the tournament with a score of 953. Duke won its fourth consecutive title finishing with a score of 869. Tournament host Wake Forest finished second with a score of 883 and Vanderbilt finished third with a 887 total.
Junior Meghan Little and senior Ali Wright led the Cardinals in the final round, shooting a 78 respectively. Little finished tied for 50th with a score of 233. Wright moved up to finished tied for 71st with a score of 238. Duke's Elizabeth Janangelo (64-70-70) took medalist honors with a two stroke lead over Vanderbilt's May Wood (72-68-76).
Sophomore Elly Leonard finished tied for 67th with a score of 238. Freshman Cristina Gonzalez finished 83rd with a score of 246. Freshman Katie Tewell played with a back injury in the final round to finish 89th with a score of 254.
Louisville will be back in action on April 19-21 at the Conference USA Championships.
