De Lucca To Swim at USA Short Course Nationals

Joao De Lucca set a personal best time in the 50-free preliminaries at the 2012 AT&T Winter National Championships. The championships are being held Nov. 29 - Dec. 1 at the University of Texas-Austin.
In the men's 50-free prelims Joao finished ninth with a time of 19.80, surpassing his previous best by one-hundredth of a second (19.81). He will move into eighth position in the A-Final due to Olympic Gold Medalist Ryan Lochte scratching from the finals.
The championship finals will begin at 5:00 p.m., ET tonight and the men's 50-free will be the eighth event to take place.
