Edwin Kibichiy Earns ACC Performer of the Week Honors

The junior earns his first ACC honor of the season
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Cross Country's Edwin Kibichiy has been recognized as the Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Cross Country Performer of the Week. Kibichiy becomes the second Louisville athlete to earn the weekly honor this season.
A Kapsabet, Kenya native, Kibichiy led the Cardinals to a third-place finish at the Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday morning. Kibichiy clocked a season-best time of 23:55.21, trailing the winner by less than four seconds. The Greater Louisville Classic sported a 24-team field with five ranked teams, including three among the top 10.
Kibichiy has finished in the top three of all three of his races this fall. He started the season with a third place finish at the Evansville Early Bird Invitational and finished second at the Vanderbilt Invitational.
