
Cross Country's Japhet Kipkoech Named ACC Co-Performer of the Week

The senior earns his first weekly ACC honor
LOUISVILLE, KY. -- Louisville's Japhet Kipkoech and Florida State's Zak Seddon were named ACC Men's Cross Country Co-Performer of the Week honors on Tuesday afternoon. The honor is the first ACC weekly honor for Kipkoech.
A Keringet, Kenya native, Kipkoech led the Cardinals to a first place finish at the Commodore Classic. He notched his first collegiate win, finishing the 8K with a time of 24:34.6. He finished with a season best 8K time and defeated teammate and All-American Edwin Kibichiy by a second.
Kipkoech has led the Cardinals in both races this season, helping the Cardinals to two wins. In the first race at the Evansville Early Bird Invitational, he led the team with a second place finish.
