University of Louisville swimmer Kelsi Worrell won gold and positioned herself to win another after an evening of racing at the FINA Short Course World Championships in Windsor, Canada.

Kelsi Worrell won gold as a part of the Mixed 4x50 Medley Relay. Olympic medalist Tom Shields (23.45), Lilly King (28.74), Worrell (24.59) and Michael Chadwick anchored with a 20.44 combined for the winning time of 1:37.22.

Worrell will be going for gold when she posted a 25.18 in the semi-finals of the 50-butterfly, making her the top seed for tomorrow night's final.Â

Grigory Tarasevich placed 11th with a time of 23.64 in the 50-backstroke semifinals.
