
Dorcas Wasike Named ACC Freshman Performer of the Week

Wasike earns her first ACC Honor
Louisville, Ky. – Dorcas Wasike was one of four student-athletes who turned in outstanding individual performances, highlighting this week's Atlantic Coast Conference Performers of the Week for the 2016 cross country season.
Wasike led the Cardinals with a second-place finish at the 25-team Commodore Classic Saturday in Nashville, Tennessee. The Kitale, Kenya, freshman finished the 5k course with a career-best time of 16:59.8. She has finished in the top two of both her 5K races this season, having won the Dayton Flyer Open two weeks ago.
The Cardinals will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 1 at the Greater Louisville Classic at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park.
