- Louisville beats Indiana for the first time in three tries, with all three games being played in Indiana.
- Jeff Brohm is the fourth Louisville head football coach to begin his UofL career 3-0, joining Tom King, Frank Camp, and Bobby Petrino.
- The Cards are off to a 3-0 start for the first time since starting 4-0 in 2016.
- Louisville gains 302 yards in the first half, finishing with 422 yards of total offense.

- This was Thrash's first 100-yard receiving game as a Cardinal.
- Thrash set a new school record by averaging 39.8 yards per reception (minimum four catches), surpassing the previous record of 38.3 yards set by DeVante Parker at Pittsburgh in 2012.
- RB Maurice Turner had four carries for 18 yards, scoring the first touchdown of his Louisville career on a two-yard run.
- DB Cam'Ron Kelly paced the Louisville defense with 12 tackles (six solo) to go with two tackles for loss and an interception.
