Donald Signs to Bolster Defensive Line Depth

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Josh Donald, a transfer from the University of Houston, has signed with the University of Louisville, UofL head coach Jeff Brohm announced.
A nose tackle, Donald transferred to the Cardinals after sitting out in his lone season at Houston but has been extremely productive at his prior stops.
Prior to his stint at Houston, the 6-foot-2, 320-pounder played the 2024 season at Appalachian State, where he was credited with 32 tackles, 5.5 for loss, 3.0 sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
Before transferring to Appalachian State, the native of Durham, N.C., was a member of the Southern football before transferring to Troy following the 2023 season to participate in spring practices with the Trojans.
In his two seasons at Southern, Doanld recorded 11 tackles, two tackles for loss and one sack in nine games for Southern in 2023 after posting eight tackles with two tackles for loss and one sack in nine games in 2022.
Donald is the 30th signee and the fifth defensive tackle to sign with Cardinals this winter.
