Ella Bard & Cate Cantu Called up to U.S. Soccer Squads

Bard is up with the U-20 team, Cantu is with the U-18 team
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — University of Louisville freshman defender Ella Bard and incoming signee goalkeeper Cate Cantu were both named to U.S. Women's Soccer national teams for the month of April. Bard was named to the U.S. U-20 team while Cantu earned a call up to the U.S. U-18 team.
This is the third time that Bard has been called up to a women's national team since the season began back in August. She is one of 24 players that have been called to this training camp that will be held in Kansas City. During the camp, the squad will have two matches against fellow 2026 FIFA U-20 World Cup qualifier Brazil.
This is the second time Cantu has been called up to a women's national team since the calendar switched to 2026. This camp will take place down in West Palm Beach, Florida and Cantu is one of 24 players selected. The camp will consist of training and scrimmages during the week they are down in Florida.
Back in March, Cantu was called up to the U-18 squad for two international matches that were held in Spain. The US squad defeated the Sweden U-18 team, 8-0, and the Hungary U-19 team, 6-0.
