
2026 Field Hockey Schedule Released

The 2026 slate includes eight regular season home games; Trager Stadium will serve as the host site for the 2026 NCAA Championship
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville field hockey coach Justine Sowry has released the Cardinals' 2026 schedule which includes eight regular season home games.
Louisville's Trager Stadium will also serve as the host site for the 2026 NCAA Field Hockey Championship November 20-22. It will be the seventh time that Trager Stadium will serve as the host site for event.
The Cardinals' 18 game slate features nine 2025 NCAA tournament teams including Atlantic Coast Conference champion and NCAA semifinalist North Carolina and two-time defending national champion Northwestern. Find the complete schedule here.
UofL field hockey will celebrate its 50th season as an NCAA Division I sport throughout the 2026 campaign starting with a preseason scrimmage against Bellarmine on Aug. 19. Following another scrimmage at Ball State, the Cards will officially open the season on August 28 when they play host to 2025 Mid-American Conference champion and NCAA quarterfinalist Miami (Ohio). Louisville will wrap up their home opening weekend with a Sunday matchup against Indiana.
The Cards will then embark on a four-game road stretch opening September with contests at Saint Louis and Michigan State followed by a trip to Evanston, Ill., to face 2025 and 2026 NCAA champion Northwestern and NCAA participant Iowa.
ACC play starts for Louisville on Sept. 18 when Boston College visits Trager Stadium. The Cards will stay home to face 2025 NCAA tournament participant Saint Joseph's on Sunday.
Louisville will conclude the month of September on the road, traveling to Berkeley, Calif., to face Cal in a Friday night ACC contest and UC Davis on Sunday.
A three-game homestand awaits the Cardinals with an ACC weekend against North Carolina and Stanford up next followed by a meeting with cross-town foe Bellarmine.
Louisville will resume league play with a trip to 2025 NCAA quarterfinalist Syracuse before returning for its regular season home finale when the Cards welcome NCAA quarterfinalist Duke to Trager Stadium. The season long 50th year commemoration will culminate with a postgame celebration.
The Cardinals will spend the final three games of the season on the road starting with a trip to Virginia to take on the Cavaliers and non-conference matchup at Richmond. Louisville will take on Wake Forest in its regular season finale.
