Six Cards Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

LOUISVILLE, Ky – The College Sports Communicators announced the Academic All-District Teams and the Louisville Men's soccer team had six student-athletes listed. Noah De Blasis, TJ Kahoalii, Michael Lee, Olayinka Ogunleye, Alex Svetanoff, and Chase Vazquez all represented the Cardinals.
To be eligible for the CSC Academic All-District Team, you need to have a cumulative 3.50 GPA and be at least a sophomore athletically and academically. You must also play in 90 percent of your team's games or start in 66 percent to be eligible. Six players is the maximum number of players a team can have recognized.
DeBlasis started in all 17 games this year for the Cards and earned TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week honors in September. Kahoalii also started all 17 for the squad and etched an assist during the season. Lee scored three goals this year, including a game-winner against UAB on August 25.
Ogunleye started every game this season and notched two goals, one of which was a game winner against IU Indy. Svetanoff played every minute in goal for the Cards this season, posting seven shutouts and recording 53 saves. Vazquez saw the field in every game with 15 starts and three goals on the year, one of which was the game winner against then No. 1 Stanford on Sept. 5.
