SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The University of Louisville men's golf team returns to action Sunday and Monday at the Fighting Irish Classic, hosted by Notre Dame at Warren Golf Course in South Bend, Indiana.
The Cardinals will compete in their fourth tournament of the fall, bringing a five-man lineup of Warren Thomis, Barron Mundy, Will Judd, Adam Buchanan and Max VanderMolen.
The Fighting Irish Classic features a 14-team field that includes eight teams that finished inside the top 50 of the final 2025-26 Clippd national rankings. Louisville enters the event alongside Augusta, California, Georgia Southern, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kent State, Michigan State, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Purdue, Texas A&M and UCLA. Competition begins Sunday with 36 holes at Warren Golf Course. The opening two rounds are scheduled for an 8:30 a.m. ET shotgun start, with the final 18 holes set for Monday beginning at 8 a.m. ET with rolling tee times based on Sunday's results. The course will play as a par 70 at 7,023 yards.
LOUISVILLE LINEUP
Thomis enters the Fighting Irish Classic as Louisville's top finisher through the first three tournaments of the fall. The junior opened the season with a seventh-place finish at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate, carding a 4-under-par 206.
He followed that performance with a tie for eighth at the Bearcat Invitational, shooting 4-under-par 209, before tying for 12th at the Bryan Bros. Collegiate with a 4-under-par 140.
Mundy also enters the tournament following a strong start to the season. He tied for sixth at the Bearcat Invitational at 5-under-par 208, highlighted by a 67 in the opening round — Louisville's low round of the tournament. Mundy also finished inside the top 20 at the Bryan Bros. Collegiate, where he posted a two-round score of 147.
Judd and Buchanan return to the starting lineup after both competing in Louisville's lineup at the Bearcat Invitational earlier this fall. VanderMolen returns to the five-man rotation after competing at the Bryan Bros. Collegiate, where he finished tied for 45th with a 145.
