RAMONA, Okla. – University of Louisville women's track & field redshirt senior Kaia Tupu-South wrapped up competition at the Oklahoma Throws Series World Invitational on Saturday, one of the top throwing meets in the world.

Tupu-South closed out her weekend in Ramona, Okla. with a new personal-best mark in the women's discus throw of 57.13m (187-5) that moves her to sixth in program history. The mark also leads the ACC and currently ranks eighth in the NCAA thus far this season.

The Washington transfer also recorded a toss of 16.98m (55-8.5) in the shot put on Saturday after beginning her weekend on Thursday with a discus mark of 54.38m (178-5).

The Cardinals will return to action next week when they split between five meets: the Mt. SAC Relays, Pacific Coast Invitational, Bryan Clay Invitational, Beach Invitational, and Virginia Challenge.
