
Women’s Golf in 15th After First Day of ACC Championships

Huynh & Exposito lead the way for the Cards
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville women's golf team is in 15th place after the first two rounds of the ACC Championships on Thursday at Porters Neck Country Club. The Cards shot a 12-over-par 300 in the first round and followed it up with a 9-over-par 297 in the second round later in the day.
For the second round, Millie Cottrell had the best individual round of even-par 72. She had three birdies on the round and is tied for 56th overall at 6-over-par.
Thienna Huynh and Veronika Exposito sit the highest on the individual leaderboard for the Cardinals. In the second round, they both shot 2-over-par 74 and each had one birdie. They are tied for 46th overall at 4-over-par.
Bailey Burkett was 5-over-par 77 in the second round with two birdies. She is tied for 61st overall at 7-over-par. Emree Cameron rounded out the scoring with a 5-over-par 77 in the second round. She is tied for 71st overall at 13-over-par.
In the first round, a trio of golfers had a team-best 2-over-par 74. Huynh, Exposito and Burkett all carded a 2-over-par 74 in the first round. Huynh had a team-best four birdies on the round while Exposito and Burkett both had two each.
Cameron and Cottrell both tallied a 6-over-par 78 in the first round. Cottrell had one birdie in her first round of action.
