Louisville Makes its Debut in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Poll at No. 25

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville softball team breaks into the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll for the first time since 2016, debuting at No. 25 in the country.
Louisville is also ranked in the Softball America poll, coming in at No. 22, and the D1Softball poll at No. 25. The Cards are receiving votes in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) poll this week.
The Cardinals (38-9, 13-5 ACC) are rolling through the end of the regular season, recently sweeping Pitt in three-straight run rule victories. They will host Kentucky in the second installment of the Battle of the Bluegrass on Wednesday, April 22 at 6 p.m. ET. Following the midweek matchup, the Cards will close out their home slate with a series against Syracuse, honoring the four seniors on the team for Senior Day.
