Cardinals Will Face Missouri in the ACC/SEC Challenge

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The University of Louisville volleyball team has been tabbed to face the University of Missouri in the second annural ACC/SEC Challenge, with the 2026 "Showdown at the Net".

The Cards will host Mizzou on Sept. 9 in Louisville, Ky., at the L&N Federal Credit Union Arena. The Tigers and Cards last met on Sept. 7, 2024, with the Cardinals sweeping Mizzou in three sets. UofL has a 6-2 series record over the Tigers.

The challenge will feature a doubleheader on Wednesday, September 9, between four nationally recognized programs at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex – State Farm Field House at Walt Disney World Resort in Kissimmee, Florida. Tennessee will face Pittsburgh at 7 p.m. ET and Texas A&M will take on Stanford at 9:30 p.m. Both matches will air on ESPN2.

In addition, 14 matches will be hosted on campus on Tuesday, September 8 and Wednesday, September 9. Start times and broadcast assignments for the on-campus matches will be announced at a later date.
