Zabala Drafted to Florida Vibe in Professional Softball League

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Alyssa Zabala of the University of Louisville Softball team was drafted by the Florida Vibe, a professional softball team that is a part of the inaugural Professional Softball League.
The PSL will consist of professional teams that will compete in a league season coming in the summer of 2026 along with organizations set to compete in 2027 as their inaugural season. The 2026 PSL season will consist of the Florida Vibe, Atlanta Smoke, Kansas City Diamonds, Florida Breeze playing full schedules along with NY Rise, Chattanooga Chill and with more organizations to be announced to follow but with a reduced game schedule as those teams prepare for expansion and full schedules in 2027.
Zabala had a standout senior season, leading the pitching staff with 42 appearances and 134 innings pitched, posting a 14-5 record with four saves. She has recorded a team-high 99 strikeouts, surpassing her total from last season. She earned Third Team All-ACC honors this season, marking the second time she's done so in her career.
The Miami, Fla. native will end her Louisville career with a 3.45 ERA, 56 wins in the circle, 23 complete games, seven shutouts, and 375 strikeouts in 556.1 innings pitched.
