Women’s Golf Heads to Ironwood Invitational

This is the last tournament before the ACC Championship
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — After hosting a one day event at home early in the week, the Louisville women's golf team is back on the road for their final tournament of the regular season. The Cardinals are heading back to Greenville, North Carolina to take part in the Ironwood Invitational. The Cardinals are one of 16 teams competing at Ironwood Golf and Country Club and it will start on Sunday, April 5.
Louisville's lineup for the tournament will be Veronika Exposito, Bailey Burkett, Thienna Huynh, Millie Cottrell and Madison Moman. Emree Cameron will be competing as an individual. Burkett and Cottrell have both competed in all nine tournaments this season for the Cardinals. Exposito has played in eight of the nine and Huynh has taken part in seven. Moman and Cameron have competed in six tournaments this season.
The Cardinals are coming off a second-place finish at the Cardinal Classic this past Monday at the University of Louisville Golf Club. Exposito continued her strong play with a runner-up finish after a 3-under-par 141 for the event. Exposito has had five-straight rounds at or under par, dating back to the first round of the Bentwater Collegiate.
Burkett put together her second-straight Top 5 finish and third-straight Top 10 finish at the Cardinal Classic. She was even-par 144 and finished tied for fourth overall. Burkett has a team-best six Top 15 finishes this season.
Huynh had her second Top 10 finish in the last three tournaments with a tie for seventh overall at the Cardinal Classic. She has three Top 10 finishes on the season after a tie for eighth at the Sam Golden and a seventh place finish at the Riverbend Intercollegiate.
Cottrell has finished in the top 15 in each of the last three tournaments. Her season-best finish of tie for fourth came at the Riverbend Intercollegiate. Cameron and Moman finished back to back at the Cardinal Classic. Cameron finished 13th overall at 9-over-par 153 and Moman was 14th at 10-over-par 154.
