Doug comes to U of L from Pittsburgh Central Catholic where he swam for Mercedes McCarthy and the Mt. Lebanon Aquatic Club under the tutelage of Don Wagner. He made an Olympic Trial cut in the 200-fly and was a Junior National qualifier in the 200-fly where he finished sixth 2:02.91 (LC). He was the Pennsylvania State champion in the 100-fly with a time of 49.91. He was named All-State and All-American. Personal: He is the son of Doug and Mary Dietrich. He was born May 31, 1990. He plans on majoring in civil engineering.
