The No. 40-ranked Louisville beat Richmond 5-1 by taking the doubles point and all but one singles match.
"We beat a good team today on their court," said U of L head coach Mark Beckham. "That is always difficult to do. We are finding new ways every day to win matches. Different athletes are stepping up."
The Cardinals swept all three doubles matches led by the No. 1 pair of Natalia Baez and Bianca Gorbea who battled to a 8-7 (5) win over Ashlee Vosters and Pamela Duran.
U of L won No. 3 through No. 6 with Gorbea, Baez, Robyn White and Jo-Ann Van Aerde all collecting wins.
